ICC Assures Broadcasters: Pakistan-India Champions Trophy Match Set to Be Held in Dubai

Champions Trophy

With the chaos around Champions Trophy 2025 continuously growing, broadcasters have been in great confusion. Though the rights have been awarded to the respective broadcasters for this tournament, non-conformation of the location seems to put broadcasters in a state of confusion.

To ease the confusion of broadcasters, ICC has assured them that the much anticipated matches between India and Pakistan will be played in Dubai.

However, there has been no official announcement made yet. There are still discussions and meetings going on with no confirmation of whether the hybrid-fusion model is fully accepted or not.

Although the fusion formula is yet to be officially accepted with issues around it unresolved, the arrangement rightfully proposes that all the matches including India and Pakistan would be played at a neutral location, if the tournaments are being hosted by either of these countries.

While BCCI has remained tight-lipped on the matter, reports suggest that they are least willing to accept the fusion formula. According to them, India has no issues of security and that they have successfully hosted many international events in the recent past.

Thus, requesting a hybrid model for the tournaments to be hosted by India has no justification. However, PCB is persistent about their request citing that they want a fair and equal treatment above anything else.

With speculations making rounds about whether or not the BCCI will agree with PCBs fusion proposal and what actions would ICC take to ensure that the game wins in the end, we can only hope for good news and the Champions Trophy 2025 schedule to be released soon.
